The MILES Technology Translation Center serves as a dynamic hub for entrepreneurship, drawing inspiration from successful models like Stanford University and Silicon Valley. Our center follows the "IPPI - By the Founder for the Founder" framework, offering entrepreneurs access to state-of-the-art facilities, mentorship, and investment opportunities.

In parallel, we provide robust intellectual property protection support and patent licensing services. Our dedicated team assists researchers throughout the patent application process, support their innovations, receive proper protection and create commercialization opportunities by identifying industrial partners for licensing deals.

We aim to establish a cross-border, Silicon Valley style startup ecosystem in the Greater Bay Area. From top science to bold startup, we will build a vibrant and supportive entrepreneurship network.

We will provide one-on-one comprehensive help to founders in order to turn their original innovation into market-fit commercial product.

The IPPI Framework

At MILES Technology Translation Center, we incubate and accelerate startups originating from MILES and HKU, helping researchers realize their discoveries into impactful startups, growing into the next level viable business through the IPPI framework.

Seed-stage investment fund raising from venture capital investors and strategic partners, including MILES seed fund [in the process of establishment].
